Three Kings and a Queen Make a Great Hand for Carnival

On Friday, October 12, the PTO hosted their annual carnival, raising nearly $6000. The night was filled with a delicious chili supper, games, and tons of fun!

Third grader Bianca Mitchell stated that her favorite part was the cake walk and was very excited that she won a vanilla cake!

Perhaps the most anticipated part of the night was crowing toward the end. Students from each grade carried out the Chadwick tradition of representing their classes, and walked in the Carnival. Many of the candidates worked hard to win, but only two classes came out on top: the fifth grade and the ninth grade.

Fifth graders Koltin Walker and Breana Maggard were crowned king and queen of the elementary! They were presented their crowns by crown bearer Connor Cantrell and flower girl Jolee Stafford.

Ninth graders Luke Cockroft and Jaryd Collins made history as Chadwick’s first ever all male pair to be crowned as carnival kings.  When both the freshmen girls refused to walk, Luke and Jaryd had agreed to walk together to represent their class and help support the fundraiser. A lot of people thought it was hilarious, but Luke and Jaryd had the last laugh. The two kings were given their crowns by crown bearer Bryson Parker and flower girl Raeleigh Little.
