September Students of the Month

On Friday, October 19, 2012, we invited the families of seven Chadwick Elementary students to school to celebrate being selected as September’s Students of the Month. An assembly was held in the cafeteria to show our appreciation to each student for their good behavior and excellence in the classroom.

Each teacher, preschool through sixth grade, chose a student based on their own criteria to receive the honor of Student of the Month for their class.

Fourth grade teacher Mrs. Goin resorted to the student with the highest scores after struggling for some time to choose one student. So many of our elementary students are truly impressing the staff with their incredible performance this school year!

During the assembly, the teachers came up with a clever way to reveal to everyone their choice for Student of the Month. The teachers and parents worked together very well to keep the recipients of the awards a secret so that the students would be surprised.

Each month we will have a set of seven new students to receive the title of Student of the Month. We hope that this program reinforces good behavior, kindness, respect, and hard work in the classroom, and ultimately, encourages the growth of skills that our students will carry with them throughout their entire life.
