On Monday, October 1, 2012, counselor Ms. Jeni Dixon organized a field trip for the juniors and seniors to attend the Spokane College Fair. The students were able to speak to recruiters from a variety of colleges and learn more information about the schools that interested them.
Senior Autumn Shockey, said that her favorite part was the large variety of different colleges.
Junior Cory Taylor, says that, “We should definitely go back next year!”
“I know in the past we have had students go to the fair and come away talking about colleges and opportunities that they had never even heard of before,” said Mr. Tyler Walker who helped chaperone the trip. “It’s a great chance for students to see a little more of what is available.”
Ms. Dixon was very pleased with the trip overall and plans to organize additional trips to tour local colleges later in the school year.
