Only time will tell how great the junior high school basketball teams will be this season.
The Junior High Boys Basketball Team began their season 3-0, defeating Spokane, New Covenant, and Hartville.
Seventh grader Gentry Gilbert is looking forward to a winning streak. He said, “I feel like we’re a pretty good team, and we’ll dominate pretty easily.”
The Junior High Girls Basketball Team rebounded after losing their first game to Spokane, winning the next two games in a row against New Covenant and Hartville.
Eighth-grader Maddy Sallee said, “I think we were really nervous in the first game, so I think we will do better.”
Shawn Guerin is coaching both teams. He has high hopes for the season, but said for now the story is “to be continued.”
