Greetings from Michael Wallace

Mr. Wallace began as Chadwick’s new superintendent on July 1, 2021.

Greetings Chadwick Cardinal Nation!

I am very excited to join the Chadwick R-I Schools and community.  I want to thank the Chadwick R-I School Board for the opportunity to serve our students, staff, school and community during these challenging times.

You all have accomplished great things at Chadwick. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead our district to accomplish more.

I am in my 25th year of public education. My teaching career began at Thornfield R-I as a first grade teacher in August of 1996.  In 2004, I was promoted to principal/superintendent at Thornfield.   I served as Thornfield’s only administrator until June 30, 2018, totaling 22 years in the district.

During the spring of 2018, I was fortunate enough to be chosen as the new school leader at the Everton R-III School District. I have had a wonderful experience in my three years at Everton.

My wife, Lexie, and I have four boys: Casey (22), Cale (21), Riley (12) and Hoyt (10).  Lexie and I believe dedication to faith and family is critical to our success in life and our children’s lives.

Our family has roots in the Sparta, Chadwick, and Thornfield areas. We maintain a small “family” cattle operation just west of Thornfield. We also enjoy activities in the beautiful Ozarks outdoors, such as hunting, fishing, and water sports.

I look forward to interacting with the Chadwick community and working together to continue to move our district and community forward.

Respectfully,

Michael Wallace
