Chadwick has two new teachers this school year.

Mrs. Carey Head will be teaching middle school reading and English.

She went to college at Drury and Missouri State, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in elementary education. Before taking the job at Chadwick, she taught at Crane for twelve years.

Mrs. Jaynee Beaty is the new science teacher for grades 7-12. She majored in animal science at Mizzou, and received a Master’s Degree in agriculture from Murray State University in Kentucky. Before her teaching career, Mrs. Beaty worked as a parts manager for a farm machinery business and a nurse’s aide at Mercy Hospital.

When asked about Chadwick, Mrs. Head said, “The students are great, first of all. And I like the small-town feel.”

Mrs. Beaty agreed, saying her favorite thing about Chadwick was the small school environment.

Several teachers also moved to new positions: Mrs. Linda Tankersley switched from middle school English to Title I Reading; Mrs. Ashley Procell moved to first grade; and Mrs. Mandy Mitchell switched to second grade.
