How Sweet It Is

Chadwick’s homecoming was held on Friday, January 17 with the theme being “How Sweet It Is.”

The game was against the local Riverview Bible Baptist School out of Forsyth.

Our team out without intensity, but finished the first half down by twelve.

After halftime, the boys  came back onto the court with their heads in the game and cut the lead in the third quarter, to take their second win of the season at 71-67.

Sophomore Alex Hicks said “We came out strong in the second half and that’s what kept us in the game and led us to the big win.”

The homecoming ceremony was held at halftime and featured boys and girls basketball players; senior homecoming candidates nominated by each of the high school classes; and an attendant from each high school grade.

Senior Faith Wheelock was crowned homecoming queen.

After the game, a dance was held in the cafeteria hosted by Mrs. Linn and the juniors and seniors of the homecoming committee.

This year they were also offered the option to sing karaoke. It turned out to be a popular option. The DJ didn’t get to play many of his own songs because the students sang karaoke throughout the whole dance.  Mrs. Linn said “It was great to have so many students participate. Seeing everyone have a good time made it worth all the effort the homecoming committee put in to making the night a success.”
