On October 23, 2013, Chadwick students who scored proficient or advanced on last year’s MAP or EOC tests, or who raised their score “substantially” from previous years, were rewarded with a field trip to Silver Dollar City.
This year, the MAP Committee decided to take the annual trip early in order to make the award seem more immediate and in order to get a better discount for student tickets.
Fifth grader Taylor Stephens said she liked going in the fall batter because she didn’t have to wait as long in the lines to ride rides. Her favorite part of the trip this year was getting stuck on the Fire in the Hole ride.
