Red Ribbon Week is Coming!

We will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week at Chadwick Schools on October 29-November. This is next week!  Lots of plans are being made to make this a fun and educational week for our students.  Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the United States and is recognized in schools across the country. The purpose of this week is to serve as a vehicle for communities and individuals to take a stand for the hopes and dreams of our children through a commitment to drug prevention and education and personal commitment to live drug free lives with the ultimate goal being the creation of drug free America.

Several activities will be taking place during the school day that supports the goals of Red Ribbon week, but specifically we will be having dress up days! As an incentive to get students to participate, each elementary student will be given a raffle ticket for each day that they dress up and at the end of the week we will draw names for several door prizes at our closing assembly. Also, the class who has the most participation will be given a pizza party November 2nd. There will be a pizza party winner for preschool – 6th grade and 7th – 12th grade.

The dress up days are as follows:

  • Monday – “Follow your dreams. Don’t do drugs!” PAJAMA DAY
  • Tuesday – “Team up against drugs.” FAVORITE SPORTS TEAM
  • Wednesday – “Say BOO to drugs.” HALLOWEEN COSTUMES
  • Thursday – “Put a cap on drugs.” HAT DAY
  • Friday – “Give drugs the boot.” WESTERN DAY

We look forward to an incredible week at Chadwick Schools! Keep an eye out for pictures 🙂
