Three cross country runners qualified for the State at the District competition at Hermitage on Saturday.
Sophomore Raeleigh Little placed first place despite losing her shoe in a mud puddle over a quarter mile from the finish line, making her Chadwickâs first district cross country champion since Hailey Stevens in 2014.
Two more runners qualified for the State race: junior Lexi Loveland, who placed fifth, and sophomore Gretchen House, who placed tenth.
Freshman Connor Cantrell ran in the boy’s race, finishing 52nd overall.
All three girls will be competing in the State Championship race at 1:30 PM on Saturday, November 4, 2022, at Gans Creek Recreation Area in Columbia, Missouri.
