Chadwick now features one-to-one technology thanks to the purchase of 267 new Samsung Chromebooks.
Most classrooms now have a Chromebook for every student. Some classes, like P.E. and art classes where computers could potentially be damaged, can visit one of the district’s three computer labs.
The $70,755 price tag for the computers was covered by a federal grant through the FCC’s Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF) written by Mrs. Jacklyn Aldrich last spring.
Chadwick Technology Director Brock Mitchell has been working non-stop to get the new devices updated and ready. “I can prepare about thirty machines a day,” he said. “It’s been a lot of work, but the upgrade is totally worth it.”
