Birds of a Feather: Courtney Grimes

Meet Courtney Grimes, the lone senior on this year’s volleyball team.

Q: How does it feel to be the only senior on the volleyball team?

A: It’s overwhelming. I’m excited to try to lead them to victory. I really don’t want to let my team down.

Q: What would you like to accomplish this year on the volleyball court?

I’d really like to win our conference and do well at districts. Last year, I was second team all-district and first team all-conference, so hopefully, I can perform well enough to repeat those honors.

Q: What would you like to accomplish this year off the volleyball court?

A: I would like to continue to grow in my friendships and my relationships as well as academically.

Q: What’s the best part about being a senior?

A: The best part is probably getting to make more of my own decisions. I’m excited about getting out into the real world.

Q: What adjectives best describe you?

A: Outgoing, talkative, and approachable.

Q: If you were in a cartoon what would it be?

A: Tom and Jerry, for sure! I was raised watching it.

Q: Where do you see yourself in ten years?

A: In ten years, I hope to be graduated from college, have a good job, own my own house, and be ready to start a family.
