Sophomore Evan Smith turned up the speed this past week, breaking the school 5k record last Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at the Ash Grove meet.
His time of 17:33 earned him a second pace finish overall.
Evan proceeded to sweep first place in the varsity boys races at S of O Saturday, October 15, 2016, and last night at October 18, 2016, at Fordland.
Coach Jenny Gardner said, “He’s running some stellar races. He just needs to keep up his momentum.”
