This afternoon, Chadwick students and staff participated in a memorial to district technology director Steve Qualls who passed away earlier this week.
Principal Mr. David Aldrich encouraged everyone present to participate in a moment of silence to remember all that Steve meant to them individually, affectionately referring to Steve as “our friend.”
Then, at Mr. Aldrich’s signal, students and staff said, “We love you, Steve!” and released hundreds of red balloons in his honor.
Among other things, Steve will be remembered for his work ethic, his great sense of humor, and his smile. He will be dearly missed by students, staff, and members of the Chadwick community.
Details regarding funeral arrangements for Mr. Qualls have not yet been announced.
