Freshman Competes in Miss Missouri Teen USA Pageant

Freshman Haley Farris will be competing this weekend in the Miss Missouri Teen USA pageant at Lindenwood University.

Haley’s interest in pageantry was piqued by last year’s Miss Chadwick competition and the influence of former Chadwick counselor and the 2008 winner of the Miss Teen USA pageant, Ms. Jeni Dixon.

Haley said preparing for the competition was a lot of work, but that it was a great chance for her to explore her own individuality, demonstrate poise, and earn scholarships.

If you would like to support Haley, one way to do so is by voting for her for the People’s Choice Award. The People’s Choice Award winner will automatically advance to the top 16. It costs $1 per vote, and you can vote as many times as you want. All proceeds from the voting go to The Ross Foundation which raises money for families facing pediatric cancer.

If you are interested in seeing Haley compete, a live stream is available Saturday and Sunday night. Visit  http://www.pageantvision.com to pre-register. The cost is $16 per night.
