On Saturday, March 15, 2025 the Chadwick High School basketball program made history by becoming one of 5 schools to win both boys are girls Class 1 Championships. The boys played in the semifinal game on Friday vs Wheatland and won 60-30. On Saturday they faced St. Elizabeth and won 72-53. Our girls team faced Walnut Grove on Friday and won 48-40. This game was a rematch from earlier in the season. The girls came out strong and were able to triumph over the Lady Tigers. This sent them to the Championship game. The Lady Cardinals faced off vs Northeast (Cairo), who was number 1 in the state. The Cairo bobcats did not make it easy on our girls, but with the strength and determination of our players they were able to defeat them 44-43! Our Lady Cardinals won for the first time since 2005. As a community and school we are so proud of our boys and girls on their hard work this season.
